In creating a book.
If you missed part one, click here.
The next bit is commonly thought of as the hardest part. Actually writing. Putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard and watching your thoughts come to life on the page.
And searching for that perfect, just right word.
Thing is, you can't edit an empty page. So, I usually aim to hit a certain word count per week.
Of course between family, atrocious weather events, and work, time has not been on my side. A wise person once told me 'if you love something, you'll make the time for it.' Which means 5am wake ups are in my very near future.
On the days when I know there is absolutely no chance of writing getting done, I fill up my creative well, so I'll be ready at the next chance to sit down and get the story out of my head and onto the page. I do this by reading (usually fanfics), watching shows that spark creativity, or playing games.
Find out what fills your creative well, and make sure to top it up regularly. Stay tuned for what comes next.
